The weekend of February 22-24th will be our annual Prime Time Retreat at Cedar Hills Retreat Facility in Painesville. This retreat is open to all young people in grades 9-12 and is planned and facilitated by our Student Leadership Team. The theme for this retreat is “The Wonderful World of Disney: Building the Happiest Place on Earth” and we will spend the weekend talking about building the Kingdom of God on earth using themes from some classic Disney movies.

Retreats provide a wonderful opportunity to grow closer with peers, deepen your relationship with Jesus and create plenty of lasting memories. Prior retreat experience is not necessary-you only need an open heart and God will do the rest. The cost for the weekend is $50. This covers lodging, meals, and a retreat sweatshirt. If cost is a concern, please let me know. The retreat begins at 7:00pm on Friday (please eat dinner beforehand) and concludes with mass at 1:30pm on Sunday. Families are invited to celebrate this mass with us at Cedar Hills.

A retreat can be an extremely powerful experience and has the potential to dramatically impact your faith life. Attached is the registration form and medical release. Registration is due by February 3rd

I look forward to another awesome retreat weekend with you!

Join us this Sunday evening, December 9th at 7:00. We will be using cupcake foils to create a fun craft that will go to the Visiting Nurses Association and be used to bring some Christmas joy to those who are struggling with illness or the death of someone they love. This is the same organization that your beautiful painted pumpkins went to!

Sunday, December 9th from 9-12 is also the annual Pancake Breakfast with St. Nick at Divine Word-sponsored by the Holy Name Society. If you would like to get in a few fun service hours plan on being at Divine Word at 8:30am. You can even get your picture taken with Santa (plus eat pancakes)!

On Wednesday, December 12th we will be baking cookies and wrapping Christmas Project baskets in the Banquet Center at St. Noel. If you would like to bake, plan on being there at 4:00pm. There is an optional dinner at 5:30pm and then the basket wrapping begins at 6:00pm. This is a fun family night so bring the whole gang! Just be sure you let us know if you will be joining us for dinner so we can be sure to have plenty of food.

Friday, December 14th-15th will be our Christmas Lock-In at St. Noel. Teens should eat dinner before they arrive at 7:00pm. You can enter through the Banquet Center doors. The event will conclude at 9:00am on Saturday morning with the option to deliver Christmas Project baskets with your family! For safety reasons, we are asking that a parent deliver baskets with their teen so, parents when you pick your teen up on Saturday morning take a basket or two to deliver! A permission slip and flyer are attached to this e-mail. Please let me know by Thursday, December 12th if you plan on attending the lock-in.

Finally, there will be NO PRIME TIME on Sunday, December 16th. There will be an extended student leader meeting from 6-8:30pm that night.
