Prime Time is looking for teens to volunteer to run Casino Night on Sunday, November 20, for the residents at Governor's Point, an assisted living facility in Mentor. There will be black jack, horse racing, a betting wheel, and other fun games for the residents to participate in. No prior gambling experience is necessary - and you won't win any money either. :-) Your role as a volunteer is to make the evening fun and memorable for the people who live there! We want to make this evening really come alive for the residents so let's look the part! Please, wear black pants, a white shirt and a red tie (if you have one). We will meet at Angelo's Pizza for dinner at 4pm and return to Divine Word between 9 and 9:30pm. Please bring a signed copy of the permission slip attached below. If you are interested, please let Erica know ASAP. They need a minimum of 8 volunteers to make this night a success. Your presence can bring a light into the lives of the men and women you encounter.

Prime Time's service opportunity for October will be a trip to Lake Farmpark on Friday, October 21st to participate as actors in their sold-out Halloween Hayride for the little kids. Those who have participated in this event in the past have had a blast! Lake Farmpark provides the costumes and make-up and there is no prior acting experience needed!
We will meet at Divine Word at 4:00pm and car pool. Be sure to dress for the weather - it would be a good idea to wear layers that can be easily added or removed. Lake Farmpark will provide food at the end of the evening. We will have light snacks and drinks as well. Please see the attachments below for the parental consent form. The last hayride is at 8:30 so we will arrive back at Divine Word around 10:00pm. Feel free to bring a friend - just make sure they also have a consent form from their parents. This is a great way to serve the community and also have some fall fun. Let Erica know if you plan on attending this event. |

The annual Prime Time Clam Bake will be on Sunday, October 16. Set-up is at 10:00am in the Banquet Center at St Noel. If you have not attended mass, we will go as a group to 11:00 at St Noel. All volunteers will get a chicken dinner, and if you want clams they are $6 extra. If your families are planning to attend and have not yet ordered tickets let Erica know. The closer we can get to an exact count, the better! If you are able, please plan to stay for clean-up at 2:00pm. Many hands make light work! There will not be a Prime Time event Sunday evening - just relax after the Clambake. If you would like, you can use this event for service hours. Please, bring your sheet with you on Sunday and Erica will be happy to sign it. SMILE, SMILE, SMILE! All of these people are coming to support YOU and it's important to show them that you appreciate them. |
